The U.S. Military Support Group was formed in 2006 by CEO and former Viet Nam combat pilot Arnie Gemino.
The mission of USMSG is to organize and manage a three-year national promotion and racing campaign beginning in 2008, benefiting the National Veterans Foundation.
The campaign features the display and racing of two of the most extreme pieces of jet powered equipment in the world, the Thriller F-4 Phantom II Jet Boat and the Thriller F-16 Viper Jet Dragster. The equipment was designed and built by two of Mr. Gemino's companies Thriller Powerboats and Tradepower International and Dick Rosberg of Rosberg Motor Sports. Dick is a U.S. Marine veteran and a nationally known car and boat racing champion.
Thriller Powerboats is an industry leader building the high-speed tour catamaran “SuperCat 55” for U.S. and international tour companies. They are currently building a Racing/Poker Run version “FastMover 55” and an open fishing version “SuperFish 55”. The newest addition to this line is the “SportCommuter 55” scheduled to be showcased in 2008. Tradepower International is a specialized refit company that has completed several world renowned projects such as the M/V Bart Roberts conversion, the world's largest refit of a military vessel into a private luxury yacht.
Dick Rosberg (Rosberg Motorsports) has been racing for more than 40 years starting his career in Southern California as one of the original Lion’s Drag Strip “week-end racers”. His first trip down the drag strip was in a Top Gas dragster and ran 180 mph, which in 1964 was very fast. He has driven many famous dragsters and funny cars in his life and has been racing jet powered cars for the last 25 years. Additional credit to Dick’s fame is in 1970 he drove a Top Fuel hydroplane and at the same time he drove a Top Fuel dragster. Since each vehicle had different owner’s Dick had to choose between asphalt and water.
All profits from the USMSG campaign, which are derived from corporate advertising, media features, souvenir sales event fees, and website memberships, are for the benefit of the National Veterans Foundation.
The NVF has been active for 30 years as a non-profit organization that assists U.S. Military veterans returning from active duty. The founder, a long time Viet Nam buddy of Mr. Gemino's is Floyd "Shad" Meshad. Shad's many years of diligent work and national recognition has provided tremendous benefits for thousands of military veterans. Shad has been working with Veterans since 1970. He was a Medical Service Officer during the Vietnam War, where he counseled soldiers in the field who were suffering from a multitude of psychological and emotional problems resulting from their experiences in combat, including what would later become known as "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder" or PTSD.
Mission of the National Veterans Foundation:
To Serve the Crisis Management, Information and Referral Needs of all U.S. Military Veterans and their families.
"We hope you will help make this campaign a great success by adding your company to our list of high profile advertising sponsors. We also look forward to the support from the many individuals eager to do their part in assisting our military veterans. This can be accomplished by becoming a member on our USMSG Member's Site, by supporting our advertising sponsors, by attending one or more of the exciting events, and by purchasing some of the cool USMSG/NVF jet gear available on our website and at the events."
Enjoy the Ride,
Capt. Arnie Gemino
